This foot treatment is so easy to make at home, and we promise it will leave your tired and aching feet feeling refreshed and relaxed after a long, hard day. All you need is Sweet Almond oil and Peppermint oil. It is easily found in any Health Food Store, supermarket or a good online retailer.

First, make yourself a foot bath. Take a bucket or container that is big enough for both feet. Add hot water, but not too hot to burn yourself, but not too cool either. This is because the extra heat helps to increase the blood and lymph circulation, which we found helps to eases the pain.
Put you phone on silent and out of reach or play some relaxing music that you know you'll enjoy.
Add 10 drops of Peppermint Essential oil into to the water. This oil contains analgesic properties, which means pain relief. Pop your feet in for about 10-15 minutes.
Now try to relax, practice some deep breathing, or a new meditation. Or you could read a book or do some journaling.
After 10-15 minutes, dry your feet thoroughly, pay particular attention and lovingly drying in between each toe.
Take a clean small bottle or container, add 1 tablespoon of Almond Oil and 10 drops of Peppermint Essential oil. Shake well.
Grab some socks and a small towel to soak up excess oil from your feet at the need of the massage. Leave them next to where you will be giving yourself a massage.
Now sit comfortably and use this as a massage oil on your feet. Take your time applying and massaging the oil. Allow about 5 minutes per foot. The cooling action of the oil combined with the mechanical action of your hands and fingers helps to push out the fluids and cellular waste products that cause your feet to swell and ache to move away from your feet. As a bonus, the Sweet Almond Oil is also beautifully moisturising and nourishing to the skin.
We promise that afterwards your feet will feel soothed and sweet smelling, and you are bound to sleep better too.
Enjoy!
